It is possible to play the game without linking it to your Google or Facebook account, but in this case your progress will only be saved on the device you are using to play the game.

To play without linking your accounts, select “Proceed as Guest“ when you log in, and the game will either start from the beginning, if you’ve never played Taonga before, or from where you left off last time you played.

However, if you reinstall the game, clear your data or start playing on another device, all your progress will be lost and you will not be able to restore it or transfer it to the new device.

That’s why we highly recommend that you tie your progress to one of your accounts so you don’t have to worry about your island and always have access to it :)
